This is a formulated blend of two independently characterized research peptides: BPC-157 (see its own product page for origin) and TB-500, a synthetic version of the actin-binding region of Thymosin β4, a naturally occurring protein studied since the 1990s for its role in cell migration and wound repair.
TB-500 binds monomeric actin (G-actin), which in preclinical models has been linked to increased cell migration, reduced inflammatory signalling, and support of new blood-vessel formation. Combining it with BPC-157 is a common research design intended to probe complementary angiogenic and tissue-repair pathways in the same injury model, rather than a single validated mechanism of its own.
TB-500's actin-binding property is the basis for research into cell motility and migration in wound-healing and cardiac-repair models.
Research groups sometimes pair BPC-157 and TB-500 in the same soft-tissue injury model to compare additive versus independent effects.
